These Beautiful and Best Airbnbs in Brighton
ECLECTIC HOUSE, SEVEN DIALS
This Regency era townhouse has bags of space by Brighton standards there are four bedrooms, a massive living room meets dining area the table has space for eight and a kitchen with a shady balcony. Bedrooms might be cherry red or lemon yellow, one has a freestanding tub, another a four poster bed.
If you’re looking for somewhere family friendly, there’s a small children’s room with a crib for little beachcombers. Best of all, it’s set above the windy North Laine, which is stuffed with vintage stores, gelato spots and antique treasure vaults, and is near to the seafront. THE HOLLYWOOD APARTMENT, KEMPTOWN
A classic period building on the old school seafront, this Airbnb draws your attention first and foremost to the uninterrupted sea views from the floor to ceiling sash windows. This being Brighton, interiors are anything but muted a pastel pink kitchen pops against deep blue panelling and there’s a pistachio bathroom, a golden chandelier in the living room and palm print fabrics in the bedroom. The whole effect created by host Jonathan is a bit silly and playful which, luckily, is exactly what some people want from a weekend in this city.

While we have not stayed in every Airbnb featured, we have carefully selected these as recommendations based on their location, design, previous guest reviews and the fact that they have achieved Airbnb’s superhost status at the time of our research. STRIPPED BACK FLAT, HOVE
Despite sitting pretty in the offbeat seaside neighbourhood of Hove, Zoe and Fabio’s 19th century property feels more Ibiza beach club than British beach town. Reclaimed wooden floors and creamy plaster walls are warmed up with rattan rugs and fringed light shades, and thoughtful, sustainably sourced details include antique hemp linen blinds, sofas made by a local upholsterer and recycled glassware stacked in the muted kitchen.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and a third in the sweet outhouse in the garden, so this place is big enough for six. Bring the whole crew for a Brighton meets Balearics getaway.
BOHEMIAN APARTMENT, PRESTON PARK
You’re about a 30 minutes stroll or 10 minutes bus from the centre of Brighton here. But stepping away from the buzz of this notoriously exuberant city can be exactly what’s needed sometimes. Barbara’s two bedroom garden flat is, for most of the year, her full time home and things are lovely and cosy because of it.
Eclectic furniture is scattered throughout there’s a whitewashed, suntrap terrace, a buttery yellow kitchen and tons of plants. Increasingly, Airbnbs are becoming specially created properties, so there’s something refreshing about this homely space, with a stay here throwing it back to the early days of the platform.
QUIRKY FLAT, KEMPTOWN
Sky high ceilings are commonplace in Brighton’s gorgeous period properties. This flat in Kemptown, just footsteps from the seafront, makes use of its absurdly tall walls, with full height windows bouncing light around the whitewashed open plan living room. That is once of These Beautiful and Best Airbnbs in Brighton.
Things are kept fairly minimal by host Vikki, but there are some quirky details that remind you of your location: a cool mid century armchair, vinyl player and Pop Art posters are sweet curated touches. We especially like the little sun soaked balcony, perfect for pre supper drinks overlooking Brighton’s busy streets.
